30 Days {Day twenty-one}

I am grateful for warm weather! 

I could be a snow-bird.  I would be happy as a clam living in Mesa during the winter months.  The weather is SO nice!!  I don't miss that Utah snow a bit.

30 Days {Day Twenty}

I am thankful that my kids are rockstar travelers.

Today we drove from Spanish Fork to Mesa.  It took us just over ten hours, and Harrison and Bridget did SO well.  They really were AWESOME.

I didn't take any pictures while we were driving, so I dug up some old cell phone pics for this post.



Here is Bridget from a road trip a few months ago.  Her first time being flipped forward facing:

And here is Harrison from almost a year ago.  It got pretty quiet in the back seat and I turned around to find that he had taken off Bridget's binky and clipped it to his own shirt...

He always did love his binky...

30 Days {Day Nineteen}

Today I am thankful that this little girl is finally feeling better:

Poor girl has ear infections AND a sinus infection.  She has been a pretty sad case...  Snuggling her babies seems to help her feel better.  :)



Please refer to my earlier post about how grateful I am for modern medicine.  Turns out I should have given a shout out to Amoxicillin.  

Day 30 {Day Eighteen}

I'm thankful for grocery stores with awesome carts.

Shopping is so much easier when my kids get to "drive" around the store.

30 Days {Day Seventeen}

I am thankful for digital cameras.

I love that in order to get a cute picture like this:

I don't have to waste a whole roll of film on pictures like this:

Done.

Yep.  I am SO thankful for digital cameras.

30 Days {Day Sixteen}

I am thankful for modern medicine.

We've had several trips to the hospital in our married life, my babies come into this world via c-section, even something as simple as Tylenol... 

Right after I had Harrison one of the nurses said to Peter, "You know, 100 years ago your wife would have died trying to give birth.  You're lucky."  First of all, who says that??  What a terrible thing to say to someone who just watched his wife go through an unplanned surgery.  After we were all settled and the c-section wasn't so fresh on our minds, we decided she really was right.  Hooray for modern medicine!  I'll give three special shout-outs to Children's Tylenol, allergy medicine, and Excedrin.

30 Days {Day Fifteen}

I am thankful for the internet.

Really now...  how awesome is the internet and what did we do without it??


Especially Google. I Google everything, don't you?

Halloween!

Since the ever present theme of my blog seems to be "better late than never..." it would have been crazy to post Halloween pictures any sooner than half-way through November.

Without further adieu, I give you my Halloween cuties:

Don't worry, I'll post 20 more just so you can see how darling they were.  First, our puppy:

Harrison originally wanted a leash to go with his costume.  His plan was for me to hold the leash while he crawled like a dog from house to house.  Oh Harrison...  things are never boring with you around.

I wish these two pictures were videos instead of pictures.  Bridget thought Harrison was SO funny while they were running around and playing.  The poor girl was practically crying she was laughing so hard at him.  You'll just have to imagine...  She seriously thought he was hilarious.  It was awesome.

She was obviously not nearly as thrilled with me:

Bring on the candy!

We went trick-or-treating with our cutie cousin, Ladybug Sadiebug:

Harrison didn't need a reminder of how things worked.  He happily knocked on each door until someone answered and then very quietly said, "Trick or Treat!"  It didn't take Bridget too long to catch on:  Door opens, hold bag out, get candy.

She was so sweet.  As soon as someone would open the door, she would turn around and give a huge grin as if to say, "Do you see this?  I'm gonna get some candy!!"  She was SO excited.  It was too cute.

We hit lots of houses that just left candy out.  Harrison was pretty picky.

30 Days {Day Fourteen}

I am thankful for Kate.

Yes Kate Weaver, I mean YOU.



Kate takes our family pictures for us every year, and I am so glad that she does!!  My children are not in love with the camera.  It takes a LOT of work to get them to even look at the camera, and it's a darn near impossible task to get them to smile at it.  For every good picture you see posted on my blog, there were about 87 others that were complete disasters.

My lovely and talented sister-in-law Kate is crazy agrees time and time again to take our family pictures, despite my uncooperative children.  Kate, I am so, so thankful for the memories we have recorded because you are patient enough to take our family pictures.  I really do cherish them and love looking at them.  If I'm being honest, I really do love the ones where Harrison and/or Bridget are making ridiculous faces most of all.  :)


I am waiting to get our pictures from this year's session, but I do have one sneak peek for you.

30 Days {Day Thirteen}

I am thankful to have the gospel in my life.

I know that Heavenly Father loves me, and (even though His timing is usually different than mine) I know that He knows what's best for me and has a plan just for me.  I am grateful for the plan of happiness and will forever be grateful that families can be eternal.  When life gets hard and throws me curve balls, I would be very lost and confused without the hope that the gospel brings to my life.  I am so thankful for the blessings that it brings to me each and every day.

30 Days {Day Twelve}

I am thankful for nights when my children decide to sleep all through the night.

Between teething, and coughs, and colds, we've had a rough couple of weeks around here.  I have been waiting for a good night's sleep and I am so thankful that my children cooperated and let me sleep all night last night.  May this be a sign that nights are going back to normal around here!

Bridget, 10 months.  Poor girl fell asleep sitting up, playing with her doggy. 

30 Days {Day Eleven}

I am thankful for parents.

Both mine,

and Peter's.
 















They are incredible examples, they support us in all we do, they help us when we are in need, they love us, and they love our children.  We couldn't ask for better parents for us and grandparents for our kids.  I am so, so thankful for them and for all they do for me and my family.

30 Days {Day Ten}

I am thankful that my loving husband takes it upon himself to bathe these two cuties:


















I never ask him to do it, but he does it every. single. time.  I get a few minutes to myself, and these two have a ball with their daddy.  It's a little thing that means a lot.  Thanks, Peter.  :)

30 Days {Day Nine}

I am thankful for the small window of time, three days a week, when Harrison goes to preschool and Bridget takes a nap. 

Ahhhh....

You'd think that I'd use that time to be productive and get a lot done, but no.  Not even close.  It's my sit on the couch, play on the computer, watch TV time. 

And I love it.

I am grateful for cable TV and my DVR.

We are TV junkies at this house.  I'm not proud of it, but I'm willing to admit it.
