We love visitors.

{Let the backtracking begin}

Grammie and Papa came to visit! There was a Larsen family reunion, and we were more than happy to host our Arizona visitors. Papa had a great time fishing while Grammie, Harrison and Leslie shopped, shopped some more, and then went shopping. I am happy to announce that I was totally spoiled rotten by my mommy. I'm pretty sure I am her favorite child. Harrison got in on the action as well. We love being spoiled.

We are so glad they came to visit. Harrison was really shy in the beginning of the week, but by the time they left he was hamming it up pretty good and he even got brave enough to sit next to Papa for a photo. I love these pictures. Come visit again soon! We love you guys!










Before that visit, we had a visit from Aimee and kids. They decided to come say hello before school started, and we are so glad they did! I wish they lived closer so we could get together more often. Harrison loves all 5 of Aimee's kids. (seriously Aimee? can you believe you have 5 kids?! it weirds me out to say that...)

We went to Thanksgiving Point to see the farm animals






and also to check out the dinosaur museum.




Rory and Brinley love to help Harrison.






They have a place where you can dig up dinosaur bones. Harrison pretended to like it for a minute,


but I guess he still hates sand.



The Great Aunt Jenny invited us all over to her house for dinner. She always shows us a good time! Harrison enjoyed two things at Jenny's house:

and mooching food off of anyone that would share.




Peter was a good sport and let all of the little kids run, tackle, and climb all over him. And I think at one point even squirt him with water guns.

And just days before that trip, my mom was here to watch Rachel graduate!! Woo-hoo Rachel! We think you're cool for finally walking and we're glad that we were able to be there to help you celebrate.

We love visitors and are so glad that our summer was full of them!! Now we get to go and do the visiting. We are SO excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!

{Backtracking}

I'm way behind on blogging.

I've been using moving as an excuse, but really... it's time for me to get back on the wagon. We are finally in our new house, and while we are not quite all the way unpacked we are at least moved in. How nice it is to have all of our stuff in one place again! We have been working hard putting rooms together, organizing, painting, unpacking...

Well, some of us have been working hard. Others prefer to lounge. Moving hasn't been so hard on Harrison. :)





Ahhhh to be one year old again.

I'm going to attempt to catch up on blogging in the next few weeks. Hope you don't mind the backtracking... I will be caught up by October. That's the goal.

Okay, I think you've waited long enough.

Problem: I take way too many pictures and I have serious issues just choosing one or two to share with you. I happen to think that Harrison is the cutest 16 month old on the face of the planet, and just assume that everyone agrees with me and therefore wants to see the hundreds of pictures I take of him; most of which differ only by a slight tilt of the head or small movement of hands or feet, but all of which I think are the most darling pose ever captured on film.

Does this change when you have more kids? Do you end up taking less pictures? If we have more cute kids (no - not if but when, because we all know that additional children with be just as adorable) I'm afraid we are going to need 50 hard drives to hold all the cuteness.

All parents must feel this way, right? That everything their child does is the epitome of cuteness? Or is this just because my baby is still too little to get into very much trouble? Hmmm... look for a post about this topic in a few years.


Without further ado, here is just one (yes, I am exercising self control and only choosing one) picture of our cutie, because a post just isn't a post if I'm not showing him off.

While you wait...

We are in the process of moving once again, and this is the last time! We are finally headed toward our final destination after going from Pleasant Grove, to Park City, to Springville... we are almost into our house in Spanish Fork!

Hallelujah.

That's all I have to say about that.

The owners of the apartment in Springville came back yesterday, but we can't move into our new place until Wednesday. Rachel and Eric are going to let us camp out at their house for a couple days, and Grandma Wride is going to let us stay the weekend at her house, THEN we are finally done moving.

Wait, I take that back. Peter still has to go and get all of our stuff out of the storage unit and get it to the new place. Sorry Peter... you're almost done, but not quite yet...

The point of this post being: since we are all over the place and I don't have pictures or my computer there won't be any updates for a while. Don't worry - here's Harrison the Cute with his beloved doggie (yes, that dog goes everywhere with us), compliments of Rachel's computer and awesome camera, while you wait for some fantastic updates and posts from the Wrides. Enjoy!

Giddy-up

We went to Great Grandma Wride's house for family dinner yesterday, and she pulled out (and dusted off) Grandpa Brad's rocking horse. Grandpa got this rocking horse for his first birthday. Grandma Wride told us lots of stories about how excited she was to give it to him and how much he loved it.

We are happy to report that it still works as good as new! And Harrison LOVED it. He was on it all night. We didn't have our camera, so the only pictures we have are from my phone. Not the best quality, but you get the idea. I also took a video, but I can't quite figure out how to transfer it to my computer yet... So video will be coming soon. :)

Aunt Aimee is Awesome

She gave Harrison his very first Icee when we went to visit last week, and he will forever love her for it. He LOVED it. Seriously, it was half gone before we even left the gas station and there was no chance anyone was taking it away from him.







Aunt Aimee took us to the zoo too!













And to the beach! (These pictures are so deceiving. This was the only, and I mean the ONE and only, smile Harrison gave the whole time we were at the beach. He hated the sand on his feet, but that was nothing compared to how much he hated the sand on his hands. He sat on my lap and ate Fruit Loops the whole time. There was a 2 minute session of joy when he got to splash in a bucket of water (that would be when the ONLY smile came) but then it was back to my lap to eat Fruit Loops.) Aimee, we still think you're awesome.








Aunt Aimee also fed us lots of yummy food, had tons of fun toys to play with, scrapped with me (I'm all ready to scrap some more, by the way, and I miss your cool tools. :), and showed us a great time in California. Aunt Aimee is awesome. Can we come visit again soon?
