Baby Room

Baby's room keeps getting cuter and cuter. It's been painted, has cute new shelves, and now we have the bedding! We just wanted to show off how cute it's getting in there...

Family Baby Shower

We made it! Less than two weeks to go until baby is suppose to arrive, and we were worried that he wouldn't stay put for the family baby shower. Luckily we have an obedient son and it looks like he's not coming any time soon (is that lucky? Leslie is READY...), so we were able to go to Aunt Jenny's for a fabulous baby shower. It was so nice! Aimee helped with the shower - she even drove all the way from California to make a guest appearance! Both the Greenberg side and the Wride side were able to fill the house, and Aimee and Jenny know how to throw a party!

Baby stuff is so cute! Now is your chance to "oooohhh" and "aaaahhhh" once again...

YES!!!! Peter's side of the family combined forces and got us the bedding we wanted!! So cute!!

If that wasn't enough, Leslie's side of the family combined forces and got us our car seat and stroller!! Woo-hoo!!!

Thank you so, so much to everyone! We are so set to go! All we need now is a baby...

Happy Easter!

Okay, so there are only two of us here, but we still wanted to celebrate Easter. We invited Katie over and dyed some eggs on Saturday. Our kit came with the cutest 3-D bug stickers you've ever seen! What cute eggs we made...




































Peter was sad to run out of eggs, and somehow before the night was over had turned himself into a human Easter egg... He gets Leslie's vote for the cutest egg - hands down. What do you think?

On Sunday we had Easter dinner with Eric, Rachel, Katie, Vanessa, and Heidi (two of Katie's friends from the Y). It was nice to have a full house! We didn't do our shopping until Saturday night, and they were sold out of ham! So turkey it was. It was the first turkey we had ever cooked, and it turned out to be a success! Thanks to some excellent carving skills by Peter, of course.

Midvale Baby Shower

The other second grade teachers at Midvale threw me a baby shower! They are so good to me... Baby got some great stuff, and it was so fun to visit and talk baby with all of the other teachers.

Cute! Baby Boy has his swim trunks all ready for Hawaii!! (thanks Lani!)















Oooooooo... Ahhhhhhh.... So cute....





























Lani and Michelle caught me one day attempting to tie my shoe... Who knew it would get so tricky to tie your shoe when you were pregnant?! Needless to say, I haven't lived that one down. Here they are making fun of my attempt (I have to say it wasn't as bad as they make it sound :)

It's almost time!

Have you seen our new baby ticker at the top of our blog? We are getting really close! With less than a month to go, everything is turning baby around here. Setting up the crib, baby showers, painting baby's room... This blog is turning into the baby center! Keep checking back for more "getting ready for baby" posts, and one of these days (coming soon!) we'll actually get to post baby pictures!

Is it time, yet??

Painting for Baby...

Time to get baby's room ready! Even though he'll be sleeping in our room for a while, we figured we had better make the switch from his room being used as a storage room, to a room that's actually set up for baby.

Peter recruited Katie (three cheers for Katie!!) and they got busy painting while Leslie cleared all the junk out of the closet.


They were fast! The room was done in no time, and it looks great! We still need some bedding and maybe a few decorations, but the walls are painted and the room is clean. Bring on the baby!

Provo Baby Shower

Baby's arrival is getting close, and we hardly have anything! Thank goodness for good friends -- Rachel, Starlee, and Sarah threw me a baby shower!






























It was great to see college friends and mission companions that I almost never see, and who doesn't love "oooohhhh"ing and "ahhhhh"ing over little-bitty baby items. Our baby boy got some really cute things!





























Rachel was in charge of games. Here are the girls inspecting and smelling "dirty" diapers... If you could guess what chocolate candy bar was melted inside, you won! I got 7 out of 10 - I really know my dirty diapers I guess! Or my chocolate bars... one of the two... (I'm going with the second, ask me about the first in a couple of months :)











































Whoa Belly! Looks like Mums the Word -- There were 5 preggie girls at my shower. Too fun!!















Can't wait for baby!!
